When I first came to Erraid, it felt like home, but I never dreamed I’d live here one day. Fate and circumstances conspired however, and I landed on her shores to stay in January 2004 and I haven’t looked back since. It’s a magical place to live and what first drew me was the wild beauty of the landscape as well as the idea of living in a spiritual community, which tries to live in harmony with the earth. Living on Erraid continues to challenge and excite me as the experience unfolds.

Before I came to Erraid I was living and working in Liverpool teaching multimedia and web design at Liverpool University, so this is a very different lifestyle.

I’ve learnt many new skills since I came and at the moment I look after the kitchen and the animals as well as boating guests on and off the island and a hundred other things.
